 |
| وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا {١} |
1. (I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks |
| فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا {٢} |
2. and produce sparks |
| فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا {٣} |
3. while running during a raid at dawn, |
| فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا {٤} |
4. and leave behind a cloud of dust |
| فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا {٥} |
5. which engulfs the enemy. |
| إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ {٦} |
6. The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. |
| وَإِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ {٧} |
7. He himself knows this very well. |
| وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ {٨} |
8. He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. |
| أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ {٩} |
9. Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected |
| وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ {١٠} |
10. and all that is in the hearts is made public, |
| إِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَخَبِيرٌ {١١} |
11. their Lord will examine his deeds? |
