1. The resurrection/disaster/calamity. |
| مَا الْقَارِعَةُ {٢} |
2. What (is) the resurrection/disaster/calamity? |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ {٣} |
3. And what made you know/informed you what the resurrection/disaster/calamity (is)? |
| يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ {٤} |
4. A day/time the people be/become like the butterflies, the scattered/ravished |
| وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ {٥} |
5. And the mountains be/become like the wool/dyed wool, the carded (ruffled). |
| فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ {٦} |
6. So as for who his weights became heavy. |
| فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ {٧} |
7. So he is in (an) acceptable/approved life/quality of life. |
| وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ {٨} |
8. And but who his weights were reduced/lightened. |
| فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ {٩} |
9. So his origin (is) Hell/destruction . |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ {١٠} |
10. And what made you know/informed you what it is (E)? |
| نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ {١١} |
11. (A) hot fire.476 |
