 |
| وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ {١} |
1. Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. |
| الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ {٢} |
2. Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. |
| يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ {٣} |
3. Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? |
| كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ {٤} |
4. Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ {٥} |
5. And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! |
| نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ {٦} |
6. The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. |
| الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ {٧} |
7. Which will climb on to the hearts. |
| إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤْصَدَةٌ {٨} |
8. Indeed it will be shut over them. |
| فِي عَمَدٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ {٩} |
