| قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ {١} | 1. Say, `(The fact is) He is Allâh, the One and Alone in His Being. |
| اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ {٢} | 2. `Allâh is that Supreme Being Who is the Independent and Besought of all and Unique in all His attributes. |
| لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ {٣} | 3. `He begets none and is begotten by no one. |
| وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ {٤} | 4. `And there is none His equal.´ |
