| قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ {١} | 1. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the Daybreak |
| مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ {٢} | 2. From the evil of that which He created; |
| وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ {٣} | 3. From the evil of the darkness when it is intense, |
| وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ {٤} | 4. And from the evil of malignant witchcraft, |
| وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ {٥} | 5. And from the evil of the envier when he envieth. |
