| قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ {١} |
1. Say, `I seek refuge in the Lord of the day break, and the plain appearing and emergence of truth. |
| مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ {٢} |
2. `From the evil of that which He has created, |
| وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ {٣} |
3. `And from the evil (that usually prevails in the times) of darkness when it overspreads (at night), |
| وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ {٤} |
4. `And from the evil of those who try (and whisper evil suggestions) to deter (people) from doing their duty, |
| وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ {٥} |
5. `And from the evil of the envier when he envies.´ |
