 |
| هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا {١} |
1. Was there not over man a long period of time when he was a thing unremembered (nothing, not worth mention). |
| إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا {٢} |
2. Surely We have created man from a small mingled life-germ; in order to try him, We made him hearing and seeing. |
| إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا {٣} |
3. Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. |
| إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا {٤} |
4. Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains and yokes and a burning fire. |
| إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا {٥} |
5. Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor, |
| عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا {٦} |
6. A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink, flows with abundance. |
| يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا {٧} |
7. Because they fulfil their vows and fear a day the evil of which spreads far and wide. |
| وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا {٨} |
8. And they give food out of love for Allah to the poor and the orphan and the captive: |
| إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًا {٩} |
9. (Saying) We only feed you for Allah´s sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: |
| إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنْ رَبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا {١٠} |
10. Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day. |
| فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا {١١} |
11. Therefore Allah will deliver them from the evil of that day and will shed on them the Light of Beauty and Joy; |
| وَجَزَاهُمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا {١٢} |
12. And reward them, because they were patient, with a Garden and garments of silk, |
| مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا {١٣} |
13. Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither the severe heat of the sun nor intense cold. |
| وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَالُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا {١٤} |
14. And shade thereof is close upon them, and clustered fruits thereof bow down. |
| وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِآنِيَةٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا {١٥} |
15. And amongst them shall be passed vessels of silver and goblets of crystal, |
| قَوَارِيرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا {١٦} |
16. (Transparent as) glass but made of silver; they will determine the measure thereof. |
| وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنْجَبِيلًا {١٧} |
17. And they will be given to drink therein a cup whereof the mixture is of Zanjabil, |
| عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا {١٨} |
18. From a fountain therein named Salsabil. |
| وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَنْثُورًا {١٩} |
19. And they will be served by youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. |
| وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا {٢٠} |
20. And when you look, you will see blessings and a magnificent kingdom. |
| عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُنْدُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا {٢١} |
21. Upon them will be garments of fine green silk and gold brocade, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a drink pure and holy. |
| إِنَّ هَٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَشْكُورًا {٢٢} |
22. Lo! This is a reward for you, and your striving has been recognised and accepted. |
| إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنْزِيلًا {٢٣} |
23. Lo! We, even We have revealed the Quran to you in stages. |
| فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا {٢٤} |
24. Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them one who is guilty or ungrateful. |
| وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا {٢٥} |
25. And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening. |
| وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا {٢٦} |
26. And during part of the night adore Him, and glorify Him a long part of the night. |
| إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا {٢٧} |
27. But they love the transitory life and put away behind them (ignore the remembrance of) a grievous Day. |
| نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا {٢٨} |
28. We, even We created them and made firm their frame, and when We will We will replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. |
| إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا {٢٩} |
29. Surely this is an admonition; whoever will, let him take a straight path to his Lord. |
| وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا {٣٠} |
30. But you will not, except as Allah wills, surely Allah is Knower, Wise; |
| يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا {٣١} |
31. He makes whom He will enter into His mercy; and for evildoers, He has prepared a painful doom. |
