 |
| وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا {١} |
1. By those sent forth to spread goodness! |
| فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا {٢} |
2. Then those driving off the chaff! |
| وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا {٣} |
3. And those spreading (goodness), far and wide! |
| فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا {٤} |
4. Then those making a distinction! |
| فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا {٥} |
5. Then those offering the Reminder, |
| عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا {٦} |
6. To clear or to warn! -- |
| إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ {٧} |
7. Surely that which you are promised will come to pass. |
| فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ {٨} |
8. So when the stars are made to disappear, |
| وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ {٩} |
9. And when the heaven is rent asunder, |
| وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ {١٠} |
10. And when the mountains are carried away as dust, |
| وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ {١١} |
11. And when the messengers are made to reach their appointed time, |
| لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ {١٢} |
12. To the day of Decision. |
| لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ {١٣} |
13. And what will make thee comprehend what the day of Decision is? |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ {١٤} |
14. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {١٥} |
15. Did We not destroy the former generations? |
| أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ {١٦} |
16. Then We followed them up with later ones. |
| ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ {١٧} |
17. Thus do We deal with the guilty. |
| كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ {١٨} |
18. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {١٩} |
19. Did We not create you from ordinary water? |
| أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ {٢٠} |
20. Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, |
| فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ {٢١} |
21. Till an appointed term, |
| إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَعْلُومٍ {٢٢} |
22. So We determined -- how well are We at determining! |
| فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ {٢٣} |
23. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٢٤} |
24. Have We not made the earth draw to itself |
| أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا {٢٥} |
25. The living and the dead, |
| أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا {٢٦} |
26. And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? |
| وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاءً فُرَاتًا {٢٧} |
27. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٢٨} |
28. Walk on to that which you called a lie. |
| انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ {٢٩} |
29. Walk on to the shadow, having three branches, |
| انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ {٣٠} |
30. Neither cool, nor availing against the flame. |
| لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ {٣١} |
31. It sends up sparks like palaces, |
| إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ {٣٢} |
32. As if they were tawny camels. |
| كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ {٣٣} |
33. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٣٤} |
34. This is the day on which they speak not, |
| هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ {٣٥} |
35. Nor are they allowed to offer excuses. |
| وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ {٣٦} |
36. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٣٧} |
37. This is the day of Decision; We have gathered you and those of yore. |
| هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ {٣٨} |
38. So if you have a plan, plan against me (now). |
| فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ {٣٩} |
39. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٠} |
40. Surely the dutiful are amid shades and fountains, |
| إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ {٤١} |
41. And fruits such as they desire. |
| وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ {٤٢} |
42. Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did. |
| كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ {٤٣} |
43. Thus do We reward the doers of good. |
| إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ {٤٤} |
44. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٥} |
45. East and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty. |
| كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ {٤٦} |
46. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٧} |
47. And when it is said to them, Bow down, they bow not down. |
| وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ {٤٨} |
48. Woe on that day to the rejectors! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٩} |
49. In what narration after it, will they believe? |
| فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ {٥٠} |
50. Of what do they ask one another? |
