 |
| وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا {١} |
1. And those going forth cheerfully! |
| وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا {٢} |
2. And those running swiftly! |
| وَالسَّابِحَاتِ سَبْحًا {٣} |
3. And those that are foremost going ahead! |
| فَالسَّابِقَاتِ سَبْقًا {٤} |
4. And those regulating the Affair! |
| فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا {٥} |
5. The day when the quaking one shall quake -- |
| يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ {٦} |
6. The consequence will follow it. |
| تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ {٧} |
7. Hearts that day will palpitate, |
| قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ {٨} |
8. Their eyes downcast. |
| أَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ {٩} |
9. They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? |
| يَقُولُونَ أَإِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ {١٠} |
10. What! After we are rotten bones? |
| أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَخِرَةً {١١} |
11. They say: That would then be a return with loss. |
| قَالُوا تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ {١٢} |
12. It is only a single cry, |
| فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ {١٣} |
13. When lo! they will be awakened. |
| فَإِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ {١٤} |
14. Has not there come to thee the story of Moses, |
| هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ {١٥} |
15. When his Lord called him in the holy valley, Tuwa? |
| إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى {١٦} |
16. Go to Pharaoh, surely he has rebelled. |
| اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ {١٧} |
17. And say: Wilt thou purify thyself? |
| فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ إِلَىٰ أَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ {١٨} |
18. And I will guide thee to thy Lord so that thou fear (Him). |
| وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ {١٩} |
19. So he showed him the mighty sign; |
| فَأَرَاهُ الْآيَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ {٢٠} |
20. But he denied and disobeyed. |
| فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ {٢١} |
21. Then he went back hastily, |
| ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ {٢٢} |
22. So he gathered and called out. |
| فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ {٢٣} |
23. Then he said: I am your Lord, the most High. |
| فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَىٰ {٢٤} |
24. So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of this life. |
| فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَىٰ {٢٥} |
25. Surely there is in this a lesson for him who fears. |
| إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِمَنْ يَخْشَىٰ {٢٦} |
26. Are you the stronger in creation or the heaven? He made it. |
| أَأَنْتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ السَّمَاءُ ۚ بَنَاهَا {٢٧} |
27. He raised high its height, and made it perfect, |
| رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا {٢٨} |
28. And He made dark its night and brought out its light. |
| وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَاهَا {٢٩} |
29. And the earth, He cast it after that. |
| وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَاهَا {٣٠} |
30. He brought forth from it its water and its pasture. |
| أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَاءَهَا وَمَرْعَاهَا {٣١} |
31. And the mountains, He made them firm, |
| وَالْجِبَالَ أَرْسَاهَا {٣٢} |
32. A provision for you and for your cattle. |
| مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ {٣٣} |
33. So when the great Calamity comes; |
| فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الطَّامَّةُ الْكُبْرَىٰ {٣٤} |
34. The day when man remembers all that he strove for, |
| يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا سَعَىٰ {٣٥} |
35. And hell is made manifest to him who sees. |
| وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِمَنْ يَرَىٰ {٣٦} |
36. Then as for him who is inordinate, |
| فَأَمَّا مَنْ طَغَىٰ {٣٧} |
37. And prefers the life of this world, |
| وَآثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا {٣٨} |
38. Hell is surely the abode. |
| فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ {٣٩} |
39. And as for him who fears to stand before his Lord and restrains himself from low desires, |
| وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ {٤٠} |
40. The Garden is surely the abode. |
| فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ {٤١} |
41. They ask thee about the Hour, When will that take place, |
| يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا {٤٢} |
42. About which thou remindest? |
| فِيمَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرَاهَا {٤٣} |
43. To thy Lord is the goal of it. |
| إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهَاهَا {٤٤} |
44. Thou art only a warner to him who fears it. |
| إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُنْذِرُ مَنْ يَخْشَاهَا {٤٥} |
45. On the day when they see it, it will be as if they had but tarried for an evening or a morning. |
| كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا {٤٦} |
46. He frowned and turned away, |
