 |
| إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ {١} |
1. When the heaven is cleft asunder, |
| وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ {٢} |
2. When the planets are dispersed, |
| وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ {٣} |
3. When the seas are poured forth, |
| وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ {٤} |
4. And the sepulchres are overturned, |
| عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ {٥} |
5. A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. |
| يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ {٦} |
6. O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ {٧} |
7. Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? |
| فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ {٨} |
8. Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. |
| كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ {٩} |
9. Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. |
| وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ {١٠} |
10. Lo! there are above you guardians, |
| كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ {١١} |
11. Generous and recording, |
| يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ {١٢} |
12. Who know (all) that ye do. |
| إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ {١٣} |
13. Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. |
| وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ {١٤} |
14. And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; |
| يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ {١٥} |
15. They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, |
| وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ {١٦} |
16. And will not be absent thence. |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ {١٧} |
17. Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! |
| ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ {١٨} |
18. Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! |
| يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ {١٩} |
19. A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah´s. |
