 |
| وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ {١} |
1. By the heaven with its zodiacal signs! |
| وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ {٢} |
2. And by the Promised Day! |
| وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ {٣} |
3. And by the witnesses and the witnessed! |
| قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ {٤} |
4. Self-destroyed were the owners of the pit; |
| النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ {٥} |
5. The fire of which was supplied with abundant fuel, |
| إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ {٦} |
6. Behold, they sat over it, |
| وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ {٧} |
7. And they witnessed all they were doing against the believers. |
| وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ {٨} |
8. And they mistreated them only for their belief in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy, |
| الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ {٩} |
9. Whose are the kingdoms of the heavens and the earth; for Allah is Witness over all! |
| إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ {١٠} |
10. Verily, those who persecute (or mislead or tempt) the believers, men and women, and then do not repent, for them is the penalty of Hell: they will have the torment of the burning Fire! |
| إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ {١١} |
11. Verily, those who believe and do right, for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow: that is the great bliss! |
| إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ {١٢} |
12. Verily, strong is the power of your Lord! |
| إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ {١٣} |
13. Verily, it is He who creates and restores, |
| وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ {١٤} |
14. And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, |
| ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ {١٥} |
15. The Lord of the Glorious Throne; |
| فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ {١٦} |
16. The Doer of what He will! |
| هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ {١٧} |
17. Has there come to you the story of the Hosts |
| فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ {١٨} |
18. Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? |
| بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ {١٩} |
19. Yet the unbelievers persist in rejecting (the truth); |
| وَاللَّهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ مُحِيطٌ {٢٠} |
20. But Allah is behind them - encompassing! |
| بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ {٢١} |
21. Nay, this is a glorious Quran, |
| فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ {٢٢} |
22. (Inscribed) in a Preserved Tablet. |
