 |
| وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ {١} |
1. By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, |
| وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ {٢} |
2. And by the Promised Day. |
| وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ {٣} |
3. And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, |
| قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ {٤} |
4. (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch |
| النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ {٥} |
5. Of the fuel-fed fire, |
| إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ {٦} |
6. When they sat by it, |
| وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ {٧} |
7. And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. |
| وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ {٨} |
8. They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, |
| الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ {٩} |
9. Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. |
| إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ {١٠} |
10. Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. |
| إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ {١١} |
11. Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. |
| إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ {١٢} |
12. Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. |
| إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ {١٣} |
13. Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, |
| وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ {١٤} |
14. And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, |
| ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ {١٥} |
15. Lord of the Throne of Glory, |
| فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ {١٦} |
16. Doer of what He will. |
| هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ {١٧} |
17. Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts |
| فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ {١٨} |
18. Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? |
| بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ {١٩} |
19. Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial |
| وَاللَّهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ مُحِيطٌ {٢٠} |
20. And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. |
| بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ {٢١} |
21. Nay, but it is a glorious Qur´an. |
| فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ {٢٢} |
22. On a guarded tablet. |
