 |
| وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ {١} |
1. By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ {٢} |
2. And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? |
| النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ {٣} |
3. The very brightly shining star! |
| إِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ {٤} |
4. There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. |
| فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ {٥} |
5. So man must consider from what he has been created. |
| خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ دَافِقٍ {٦} |
6. Created from a gushing fluid. |
| يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ {٧} |
7. That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. |
| إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ {٨} |
8. Indeed Allah is Able to return him. |
| يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ {٩} |
9. A day when the secrets will be examined. |
| فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ {١٠} |
10. So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. |
| وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ {١١} |
11. By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. |
| وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ {١٢} |
12. And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. |
| إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ {١٣} |
13. Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. |
| وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ {١٤} |
14. And is not a matter of amusement. |
| إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا {١٥} |
15. Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. |
| وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا {١٦} |
16. And I secretly plan. |
| فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا {١٧} |
17. Therefore give them some respite - give them some time. |
