 |
| سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى {١} |
1. Who creates, then makes complete, |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ {٢} |
2. And Who measures, then guides, |
| وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ {٣} |
3. And Who brings forth herbage, |
| وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ {٤} |
4. Then makes it dried up, dust-coloured. |
| فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ {٥} |
5. We shall make thee recite so thou shalt not forget -- |
| سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ {٦} |
6. Except what Allah please. Surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. |
| إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ {٧} |
7. And We shall make thy way smooth to a state of ease. |
| وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ {٨} |
8. So remind, reminding indeed profits. |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ {٩} |
9. He who fears will mind, |
| سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ {١٠} |
10. And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, |
| وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى {١١} |
11. Who will burn int he great Fire. |
| الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ {١٢} |
12. Then therein he will neither live nor die. |
| ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ {١٣} |
13. He indeed is successful who purifies himself, |
| قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ {١٤} |
14. And remembers the name of his Lord, then prays. |
| وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ {١٥} |
15. But, you prefer the life of this world, |
| بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا {١٦} |
16. While the Hereafter is better and more lasting. |
| وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ {١٧} |
17. Surely this is in the earlier scriptures |
| إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ {١٨} |
18. The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. |
| صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ {١٩} |
19. Has there come to thee the news of the Overwhelming Event? |
