 |
| سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى {١} |
1. Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ {٢} |
2. Who createth, then disposeth; |
| وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ {٣} |
3. Who measureth, then guideth; |
| وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ {٤} |
4. Who bringeth forth the pasturage, |
| فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ {٥} |
5. Then turneth it to russet stubble. |
| سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ {٦} |
6. We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget |
| إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ {٧} |
7. Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; |
| وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ {٨} |
8. And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ {٩} |
9. Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. |
| سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ {١٠} |
10. He will heed who feareth, |
| وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى {١١} |
11. But the most hapless will flout it, |
| الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ {١٢} |
12. He who will be flung to the great Fire |
| ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ {١٣} |
13. Wherein he will neither die nor live. |
| قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ {١٤} |
14. He is successful who groweth, |
| وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ {١٥} |
15. And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, |
| بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا {١٦} |
16. But ye prefer the life of the world |
| وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ {١٧} |
17. Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. |
| إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ {١٨} |
18. Lo! This is in the former scrolls. |
| صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ {١٩} |
19. The Books of Abraham and Moses. |
