| أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ {١} |
1. Have We not opened forth for thee thy breast? |
| وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ {٢} |
2. And We have taken off from thee thy burthen, |
| الَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ {٣} |
3. Which weighed down thy back. |
| وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ {٤} |
4. And We have upraised for thee thy renown. |
| فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {٥} |
5. Then verily along with every hardship is ease. |
| إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {٦} |
6. Verily along with every hardship is ease. |
| فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ {٧} |
7. Then when thou becometh relieved, toil; |
| وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ {٨} |
8. And Unto thine Lord, attend. |
