 |
| أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ {١} |
1. (Muhammad), have We not comforted your heart, |
| وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ {٢} |
2. relieved you of the burden |
| الَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ {٣} |
3. which had been a heavy weight upon your back |
| وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ {٤} |
4. and granted you an exalted reputation? |
| فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {٥} |
5. After every difficulty there is relief. |
| إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {٦} |
6. Certainly, after every difficulty there comes relief. |
| فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ {٧} |
7. When you are free from (your obligations), strive hard (to worship God) |
| وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ {٨} |
8. and be devoted to your Lord´s service. |
